A Year Of Improvements
PACT IS COMING SOONER THAN YOU THINK!
As our year is flying by we have now begun our countdown to PACT.
PACT Testing begins May 12, 2008!
As we prepare our students we encourage you to do the same.
Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast every morning!
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and goes to bed the same time evry night!
We are looking forward to raising th bar and making this year the highest scoring year on PACT yet! We can do it!
Make sure your child is doing his or her homework every night!
Make sure your child is asking questions, if there is something your child is not understanding NOW is the time to ask!
We are looking forward to making this the most successful year on PACT yet!
We can do it!

From the Principal
Welcome to Mary Ford Elementary School. As the principal, I don’t see poverty and failure. I see possibilities and opportunities. My goal is to work with parents and the community to provide quality educational experiences to all students at Mary Ford. Transformation is our key word for the year. We believe in setting high expectations, creating a culture of success, building positive, supportive relationship and partnerships and instilling a love for learning. We strive to create an environment where students enhance social skills and believe in their abilities to be the best! Our school will be a place where learning is a priority and students feel safe, comfortable and respected. Our teachers and staff are highly qualified and skilled. They work hard to provide a student-centered, caring, and stimulating learning environment where students become life-long learners. The students are why we are here. We will not accept failure as an option! High poverty CAN result in high academic achievements. I welcome you to join in our mission to transform Mary Ford Elementary into a “School of Excellence.” Our doors are always open to you because we know “Victory is in the Classroom” and we need YOU to make “Excellence our Standard!” Yours in education, Cindy Smalls Principal Cindy L Smalls
